HRV

When we started working with HRV in 2019, the brand was well and respected as market leader – but not loved.

Our consumer research revealed people loved coming home to a home with HRV.

Our challenge was to build an emotional connection to support the brands superior product attributes.

We worked with the HRV team to develop a new brand promise that ticked all the boxes: emotional, transcends home ventilation but captures what HRV home ventilation delivers. The result: “love the feeling of coming home”.

Then we created a mascot called Harvey to bring it to life because nothing feels better to come home to than your own loving dog The audio mnemonic “H… aaahhh… V”– reinforces the feeling it promises.

Harvey made his first live appearance at the HRV Cool Zone at the 2021 Splore Festival. He now appears in HRV’s advertising material and collateral from TV to trade shows and has become one of New Zealand advertising’s most enduring and loved characters.
