New Zealand faces a critical shortage of commercial pilots. As the country’s biggest pilot training organisation, Auckland Pilot Training Group wanted to raise awareness of aviation careers and help remove barriers to participation.

To develop and distribute a survey called ‘State of the Flightdeck’ to Kiwi pilots, gathering insights about their roles, the aviation industry, and their perceptions. Then produce a report and implement a multichannel strategy across TV, radio, and digital media.

The survey received 250 responses to over 20+ questions. We then turned the data into digestible insights and constructed the State of the Flightdeck report highlighting key findings.

The Goat Farm then created a communication strategy to share the report and get coverage across TV, radio and digital publications. We worked closely with the team at TVNZ Breakfast, Radio New Zealand and various media across NZ Herald, Stuff.co.nz and NBR.
